It Asda be a record!

Karaoke crooner Mark Pearson has beaten his own Guinness Book ofRecords time for solo singing.

The 34-year-old plumber from Keighley was just a few hours short of the 40-hour target he set himself - but he still broke his own solo singing record by another four and a half hours.

The dad-of-four checked out shelf-loads of singalong tunes throughout the marathon session at Shipley's ASDA store which lasted 30 hours and 16 minutes.

Mark first set a Guinness world record for the longest solo karaoke bid back in 2004 as part of Keighley Festival.

This time he was doing it in aid of Manorlands Sue Ryder hospice in Oxenhope which looked after his aunt before she died of cancer.

Thanks to his efforts the hospice can look forward to getting a donation of at least £1,000.
